This mid-weight Woolrich wool features a grayish-brown main color with multi-color flecks throughout. It is a coarser fabric ideal for outwear garments like lined jackets, chore coats or vests, skirts and pants.

Fiber Content: Wool with some poly

This gorgeous wool came to Fiddlehead's via a trip to a New York City Jobber.

A Jobber purchases large quantities of deadstock from mills and then sells them wholesale in smaller quantities. Because of this set up, some information like the fabric's origin or its exact fiber content is not readily available. At Fiddlehead's we take the information the Jobber is able to provide and then do our own tests in the shop. We take our time comparing the fabric to other well understood fabrics in the shop in addition to conducting a burn test. All fibers have their own unique smell, smoke, ash, burning style, and burn residue which makes a burn test fairly helpful in determining a fabric's fiber content.
